Conn Maciel Carey LLP (CMC), a boutique law firm with national practices in labor and employment, workplace safety (OSHA and MSHA), and litigation, is pleased to announce that Beeta Lashkari has been elevated to Partner.

Ms. Lashkari is a trusted advisor to clients on OSHA regulatory compliance, including hazard communication, process safety management, combustible dust, and machine guarding, among other critical areas. She also leads safety and health compliance audits, offering tailored evaluations to improve workplace safety. Her sophisticated advocacy during OSHA rulemaking and her meticulous review of workplace policies reflect her deep value to industry.

Ms. Lashkari advises and represents clients in a broad range of inspections, investigations, and enforcement actions, including those led by the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the U.S. Chemical Safety and Hazard Investigation Board (CSB), and state and local regulators.

Before joining CMC, Ms. Lashkari served as an Attorney-Investigator for the CSB, where she provided legal analyses of OSHA and EPA regulations, developed investigation reports, and negotiated about safety recommendations with corporations, regulators, and trade associations.

“Beeta is one of the most thoughtful, careful, analytical, and just plain exceptional attorneys with whom I have ever worked,” says Eric J. Conn, Chair of the firm’s national OSHA • Workplace Safety Practice. “I look forward to seeing her practice continue to flourish in her new role as Partner.”

I feel lucky to get to call that my job here. So many of the Firm’s values and goals are those of my own – an emphasis on finding creative solutions to successfully resolve matters, a reputation for a collaborative culture that extends both internally and externally, and a focus on proactive work, which is truly unique and rare. I am grateful for the opportunities I have had and look forward to continuing to provide the best support I can for our clients and the Firm as a Partner.”

Aaron R. Gelb, Co-Managing Partner and Chair of the firm’s Midwest OSHA Practice says, “Beeta has been an invaluable resource when we have been called upon to assist clients dealing with catastrophic incidents and/or highly technical issues.  Her ability to leverage her unique perspectives and experiences gained at the CSB has helped secure the best possible outcomes for our clients while also making their workplaces safer. Beeta has consistently demonstrated excellence in every aspect of her work. She exemplifies the values of our firm, and I couldn’t be prouder of her accomplishment.”
